The first year I was here in US, I hardly knew the game and my husband made a big deal about the Super Bowl. We may not be regular at watching the whole season but the finals would be never missed. We stayed home and I made snacks to munch(the only excitement part for me) while we watched the game. I learnt a bit about it and then having watched it, it turned out to be exciting.
The next year, I too joined the excitement club along with Jacob. I was excited to cook as well as watch the game. So thats how we made Meat Balls , last year. This is the third year in a row that the excitement continues and I somehow think if it has become a tradition for us. Nah.... Because, this time it was me who got excited and reminded Jacob of the so called 'tradition' that we were starting to develop. So I am wondering if next year either of us would remember. Or may be Jacob would have cleverly decided to not remind me, else he would be dragged into the kitchen to help me :P.
Anyways, here is the easiest of the snacks that one can make for such an occassion. It is so simple and makes a quick appetizer/starter esp. if you are running short of time or don't want to make something too complex and end up in the kitchen for a long time. In short, good enough for a lazy day.

Anyways, here is the easiest of the snacks that one can make for such an occassion. It is so simple and makes a quick appetizer/starter esp. if you are running short of time or don't want to make something too complex and end up in the kitchen for a long time. In short, good enough for a lazy day.
Ingredients
- Sausage links / franks
- Pastry dough / crescent dough
- Egg wash - a beaten egg with a tbsp of water
- Sesame seeds
Method
- Thaw the frozen pastry dough. Spread it on the counter top and roll it using a rolling pin such that it is not too thick nor too thin to prevent breaking up. Cut them into triangles of 2 inch base(the length of the sausage links that you are using) and 3 inch sides.
- Place each sausage on the bottom of the triangle and roll it upward so that the sausages get wrapped up completely. Do the same for each of the sausages and line them on a baking sheet.
- Brush them with egg wash and sprinkle the sesame seeds on top of them.
- Preheat the oven to 350 F and bake them for about 10-15 minutes or untill the top of the rolls turn golden brown and puffy.
- Remove it from the oven and let it cool before you serve.

Tips
- You could use normal sausage/ franks and cut them into desired length to roll up in the pastry dough.
- You could serve them with mustard sauce or ketchup or have it plane.
